Time for an update?

Well, sweet sisters you keep telling me to update my blog... so there it's updated!!
Actually, Kate's basketball team, just about made it to regionals. They were only about 5 points shy, they came back from the losers bracket, kept winning games, and if they had about two more minutes in the quarter, I think they would have won, because they came from behind, got on fire, and then the buzzer rang! They did a great job, though and we were all very proud of them. They came in third for our stake. This experience helped Kate realize that she really enjoys basketball, so what could be better than that??

Afton and Dylan's team didn't do as well. But they still enjoyed playing Junior Jazz.

It's been so long, since I've posted last, that the seasons have changed, and so have the sports!
Soccer has started back up, and Tuesday afternoons, and Saturday afternoons, you can now find Kate on the soccer field. She really enjoys soccer! Although, she is a little intimidated by those boys! Soccer here is coed, which is a good and bad thing :-)

Dylan has just started Karate! A man in our ward teaches in his basement, and so we signed up Dylan, so far he seems to really enjoy it, and I think he can't wait to try out some of his moves on his sisters! He's only been going for two weeks, so I think he will get a chance to try out his moves in the future.

Dylan has also been going to a basketball fundamentals clinic, that the high school is putting on. Not only is he learning new stuff, but I am as well (by sitting on the sidelines and taking notes), that way I will be able to teach the girls, since the clinic was for boys only!

With her birthday money, Afton bought herself a ripstick! Boy, those things are scary! She's been practicing like crazy, and getting better at it all the time. Go Afton!

And little ol' Joss, well, low and behold that girl can read! I don't know why it's taken this long for me to figure it out, but it seems like all of a sudden, she's really caught on to the whole reading thing, and now she loves to read stories to me. I'm really proud of her, it seems like things take her awhile, but she's doing it, and that's what counts!

Dan the Man, has been working like a mad man in the basement, both of the girls' rooms are framed, and I think the next step is electrical, and duct work. That man has been holding out on me!! He can build things! I'm now thinking of all sorts of things that I need built... if only more home depot cards would come our way! I will post some pics later.
