Well, it was that time of year again, the time where parents want to yell and scream and pull their hair out, because big projects are afoot, and little people need help!
Afton's teacher made it an assignment, so smart girl that she is, paired up with her friend, and our next door neighbor, to tackle this undaunting task. They had all sorts of ideas, which I would hear fragments of, and Kate(working on her own science fair), would nix some of these ideas. Afton and Madi, spent a lot of time at Madi's house, where Madi's mom somehow received the honor of helping these two. I was good with that, because two other of my sweet and adorable children, decided that they too NEEDED to do a sciece project, not that they were assigned to do it, but they thought it would be "FUN!" Being the good mom that I am (haha)told them they could do it, but they'd have to do it together.
I found a few fun ideas on a website, and asked them if they liked it, they chose one they found interesting, and after a week (when I finally printed the idea out), told them to get working on it. Dylan was great and tested all of the "subjects", sometimes Joss would watch. But one day, she did call on more participants, so I guess that counts.
Long story, short, after a cRaZy night of Pack Meeting, and science projects due in the morning, we got them done and turned in!! Thanks to a lot of pitching in, by the entire family!!
Afton and Madi (who really did the project and board on their own), got Second Place, in their grade division, team style, and Dylan and Jocelynn got Third place, in Dylan's grade division, team division! Way to go kids!!!!
Maybe next year we will be more on top of it (but probably not!!)
