A Piano Playin' Phenom

This beautiful girl recently had a piano recital. She changed teachers, last August, to Gina Morrison, who is the best pianist I have ever heard. We had been on her waiting list since we moved to this house in Overlake, so about 31/2 years, and was so happy to get in. Kate has really blossomed in her playing, and I am very proud of her!

One of the things they did this year, for the recital, is that they accompanied another student while they played an instrument they had been playing in band. Kate accompanied Connor Morrison, while he played the instrument, in a piece called "Saw Mill", she did a fantastic job!
She played a piece called "Distant Bells" by Louis Strabogg, from Twelve Melodious Studies, Op.63

I'm so happy for this young lady, and all the hard work she has put in throughout the year. She's pretty good at practcing, without me nagging her too much. I'm so happy that she is developing this wonderful talent, and becoming a wonderful pianist.

It's such a good talent to have. You're lucky that she practices on her own.
